This original artwork features fiber from my own farm-raised Suri Alpaca herd. The piece highlights the unique locks that are a trademark of Suri alpaca fleece.
I created this lion portrait by needle felting natural beige and white fiber with black accents (only the eyes are from dyed roving). The lion is mounted on a black felt fabric background inside a black frame (there is no glass).
The portrait measures 14 x 18". The frame measures 16 x 20".
