This original artwork features fiber from my own farm-raised Suri Alpaca herd. The piece highlights the unique locks that are a trademark of Suri alpaca fleece.
I needle-felted this lion portrait using natural fawn fiber locks with black, grey and white accents (only the eyes are from dyed roving). The lion is mounted on a black felt fabric background inside a black frame (there is no glass).
The portrait measures 20 x 24". The frame measures 23.5 x 27.5".
